We heard the most amazing sound, today. Well, two amazing sounds. We had an appointment with the doctor to check up on the baby. While we were there, the doc pulled out a pocket doppler. The geek in me thinks that is too cool.
She used the doppler to let us hear the fetus’ heartbeat. I’d heard that sound several times, on shows, but there’s something special when it’s your own child’s. All of a sudden, we heard a small thump come from the device. The doctor told us it was a kick. Once again, too cool.
The report was all good. The heartbeat is good and strong.
