So, I’ve been trying to post this on Facebook, but have had many issues. So, I’m doing it, here… On my much neglected blog. Oh, and my face is still seen about :46 before the end.

This is a video of when we went to Branson in October. Let me know what you think!

This is a picture from our front door. It’s hard to believe that it was 70 degrees on Tuesday. That’s local weather for you. So far, we’ve had over 3 inches in just a few hours and it’s not letting up. Crazy….

Based on several requests, I’ve posted the piece I wrote one month after 9/11. I’d redirect you to my Web Page, but it’s embarrasingly out of date (2002). If you’d like to read it, click on the link to the right that says, “9-11, Never Forget”. Matt also wrote a post, as I expect a lot of people did. His has some excellent pictures showing just how close we were.
I always said we were a block and a half away when the first plane struck. I now know we were much, much closer.

I spend some time, every 9/11, remembering that day. Those of you who know me, know I was very close to Ground Zero. So was my brother, and my friend, Matt. We were luckier than many, as we made it out, alive. Matt and I were fortunate to be out of the area before the first tower collapsed. My brother, while swallowed up in that debris, made it out relatively unharmed. I wrote about my experience one month after the attack. The writing is still on my incredibly out-dated Web site.
The picture above leads to a 30-minute video that wasn’t released until this year. It is unedited and is amazing. The footage was shot through a window, 36 floors up and about 500 yards from the North Tower. If you have the time, watch it. If you don’t, still watch it.

This is a blog I’ve set up for news and views regarding my family and my life. I have to admit, the look of the blog is, basically, a free template I downloaded. However, the background pictures are mine. I took them on a family trip we took to Portugal and Spain. The whole trip was a surprise for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. I’ll write more about that, in the next post. Click on the little boxes above, to the left, to see other backgrounds.
Update…
My wife took the first pic I’m using for the background. The one of the pink flower. My Dad took the sixth picture…. The statue, in the plaza, with the scaffolding around it.
